わたしの作品は、自身の人生経験や哲学に基づき、人間のつながりとその境界の曖昧さを探求するものです。「自己と他者は別個でありながら切り離せない」という考えを核とし、このテーマを視覚的に表現することで、共感やつながりの深さを伝えることを目指しています。特に、「愛着の本質とは何か」「自己と他者の境界はどこにあるのか」という問いに焦点を当てながら、私たちの存在の多様性と統一性を探り続けています。
制作では、アクリル絵の具や油絵の具に加え、布や粘土などの日常的な素材を使用し、プロセス自体を楽しむことを大切にしています。まず主題を頭に置いたうえで、完成形をあらかじめ決めることなく、手の感覚に従って自由に進めると、予想外の驚きや発見が生まれます。この制作プロセスそのものが、わたしにとって重要な表現の一部です。
また幼少期に触れた日本の神話や自然は、わたしの作品のテーマに深い影響を与えています。何気ない日常の物や出来事にも命が宿ると感じ、その豊かさや純粋な驚き、解放感を作品に込めています。こうして完成した作品が、観る人に「好きなものを素直に好きと言える気持ち」や「どんな環境でも自由で豊かな人生を感じる心」を届けられることを願っています。
愛着の本質はなにか
人は生きている限り、常に見ようとします。 誰かの顔を見て、自分の家を見て、街を見て、キッチンを見て「愛着」を感じます。
ただ、私たちが見ることで受け取っている情報はそれぞれ異なります。
違うものを見ている、という場合にはもちろん、たとえ同じものを見ていても人によって受け取る情報はちがいます。
しかし、視覚を通して受け取る情報に「愛着を感じることがある」というのは共通しています。
自他の境界線はどこか
絵を描くときに限定せずとも、たとえば何か飾ったりするときに「構図」「色」などのバランスをいろいろと考慮したことがあると思います。
しかしあたりを見渡すと、性質の異なるものが当たり前のように共存している状態があります。
世の中のものは誰が考えて置いたわけでもなく、ただ在るようにしてあります。
そこに普通に自分も在ります。
さらに、何か思っているとき、遠く先まで自分があるかのように感じることもあれば、その反対に自分の体さえまるで自分でないと感じる状況もあります。 自分の境は曖昧になり、輪郭と背景は溶けて固有色は確かなものではなくなります。
これは幸い、子供の頃から好んできた表現方法なので、ずっと実践しています。
わたしは、「自分」は他人の意識の中で毎日すこし死んだりすこし生まれたりしている不明瞭な存在だとも考えています。
My artwork is rooted in my life experiences and philosophy, aiming to explore human connections and the ambiguity of their boundaries. At its core lies the idea that “the self and others are separate yet inseparable.” By visually expressing this theme, I strive to convey the depth of empathy and connection. In particular, I focus on questions such as, “What is the essence of attachment?” and “Where do the boundaries between self and others lie?” Through my work, I continually examine the diversity and unity of our existence.
In my creative process, I value using everyday materials like fabric and clay alongside acrylic and oil paints, emphasizing the joy of the process itself. Starting with a theme in mind but without deciding on a final form, I let my hands guide me freely. This approach often leads to unexpected surprises and discoveries, making the process itself an essential part of my expression.
Japanese mythology and nature, which I encountered during my childhood, deeply influence the themes of my work. I perceive life in the ordinary objects and events of daily life, capturing their richness, pure wonder, and sense of liberation in my pieces. I hope that my completed works inspire viewers to embrace “the ability to love what they truly love” and “the feeling of freedom and abundance in any environment.”
